Scotland Lions have last chance against Durham

The Scotland Lions bring the representative domestic season to a close this week with a last chance to show their mettle, against Durham's 2nd XI in a three-day game at Longhirst Hall, Morpeth, from Monday to Wednesday, 6-8 September.

The Lions have already defeated one county side - Leicestershire - and drawn the match against Warwickshire, so this week's match offers an opportunity to remain undefeated at this level!

The selectors have chosen a squad that is, with the exception of wicket-keeper Simon Smith, aged 25 or under, with medium-pacer Sufyaan Sharif of Dunfermline Knights getting his first Lions cap.

The full squad is: Qasim Sheikh (captain), Oliver Hairs, Ryan Flannigan, Ewan Chalmers, Richie Berrington, Willie Rowan, Simon Smith, Gordon Goudie, Ross Lyons, Sean Weeraratna, Safyaan Sharif, with Tom McBride (Dumfries) as 12th man.
