141-run Scottish partnership in vain as Irish cruise to final victory

Ireland have beaten Scotland by a comfortable six wickets in the final of the World Cricket League Division 1 at Amstelveen. Despite a superb opening partnership of 141 between Preston Mommsen (80) and Fraser Watts, Scotland lost their first seven wickets for 28 runs, leaving Watts (98) and Drummond (30) to post a total of 232 all out. After slumping to 53-3, though, Ireland's fourth-wicket partnership of 160 effectively snuffed out the Scottish challenge without breaking sweat in the hot conditions.  Read the Final report from Willie Dick (pictured), and on the Afghanistan, Kenya, Ireland, Canada and Netherlands matches.
