New National League for 2012

Cricket Scotland would like to thank all 32 current SNCL clubs for attending yesterday’s meeting to discuss and vote on the options put forward by the Future Structures Group.
 
The clubs voted 19 to 13 in favour of establishing a two division national league from season 2012.  The amendment to allow for a qualifying year in 2012 and for the new league to start in 2013  was defeated.
 
Cricket Scotland look forward to working with the clubs and the feeder leagues to implement this change to the national league for next season and assisting in the transition of some 2011 SNCL clubs back to the feeder leagues.
 
Cricket Scotland’s Competition Management Group will meet shortly to start the process of preparing for the new 20 team national league in 2012.
